World Trials Championship

There are a dozen or men and women from the press here covering the event.

FIM rules allow the press to be in the enclosure area in the sections, the space between the white section tape and the yellow outer tape marking the crowd boundary. We’re given orange bibs so the riders don’t mistake us for dumb rocks.

Saturday’s edition of the Chattanooga Times Free Press featured the Wagner Cup on the front page in a story titled, Stunt bike competition roars off today.

A TV news crew from the NBC affiliate in Chattanooga, Channel 9, came out to the TTC today to do a story on this weekend’s World Championships. 2007 U.S. High School National Champion Alex Bedley and his mom, Catherine Bedley, were featured in the 2.5 minute piece which aired this evening. Both the text and the video are available on their website.

In the April 2008 issue of AMA’s American Motorcyclist magazine, there’s a blurb in the Competition section on page 70 about the Wagner Cup:
